"If, like me, you alternate between indignation and revolt when thinking about your condition as a woman, mother, or daughter, know that you are not alone. The situation of women's rights around the world is alarming. For my part, a red alarm began to sound (even louder) when the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan in 2021. In general indifference, 52% of the population of this country was erased, stripped of their rights, deprived of any prospect for the future.
And here in Canada? The Conservatives, whose mere name makes me sick, are on the verge of power. And in our southern neighbors, the situation is even more chilling, with Republicans always ready to chip away at our gains. It's enough to make you want to throw everything away.
I wanted to address this topic, but I don't have any answers or quick fixes. What I do know is that action is necessary. So, feel free to share your ideas in the comments for campaigning, making a difference, and cultivating light together. We want to hear from you.
