Le Green Friday c'est quoi ?

What is Green Friday?

Black Friday, this day of frenzied sales to which we have all been accustomed, is now being called into question by many brands and companies around the world. The objective: to redirect consumption towards more responsible practices.

It is in this spirit that Belle et Rebelle decided to actively participate in the Green Friday movement.

What is Green Friday?

Green Friday is an alternative to traditional Black Friday. It is a day dedicated to responsible consumption and reflection on our purchasing habits. Unlike Black Friday, which encourages overconsumption, Green Friday aims to raise consumer awareness of the environmental and social issues linked to the production and consumption of goods.

It is an opportunity to promote quality products, manufactured responsibly, and to support social and environmental initiatives.

How to participate in Green Friday?

  1. Support eco-responsible brands.
  2. Buy second-hand items.
  3. Shop at small local shops or markets to reduce the carbon footprint of shipping and transportation.
  4. To make donations.

Belle et Rebelle’s actions for Green Friday

This year, we are innovating by launching our very first Clothing Swap, an initiative that fits perfectly with our mission to develop a circular economy.

You are invited to participate in our very first clothing exchange evening, as part of the Green Friday Movement, on Friday, November 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.!
Bring with you up to 15 items of clothing that you no longer use, and exchange them for free for new finds.
Are you up to celebrate with us?

Conclusion

Green Friday is much more than just an alternative to Black Friday. It is a movement that encourages companies to review their approach to consumption and turn to more ethical and sustainable practices. Ultimately, it reminds us that fashion can be beautiful, rebellious and respectful of the planet and its inhabitants.
