Cyril Doisneau was born in Nantes, France, and studied at the Angoulême School of Fine Arts. In 2002, he won the Young Talents Award at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. In 2006, he discovered Quebec and settled in Montreal. He later moved to the Magdalen Islands, where he lives in a house on a dune with a sea view. His work is inspired by vacations, tourists, and encounters. He plays gypsy guitar... or at least, he tries.
