The ritual oil Terre-mère is the first in a series of four oils from the Ora’wan’ range, which means sunflower in the Wendat language. Sunflower oil held an important place in our traditional ceremonies. To honor an important person, their hair was anointed with oil during sacred ceremonies. This tradition inspired the Ora’wan range, to honor oneself daily by caring for our physical body with awareness and love.

The Terre-mère ritual oil is inspired by our own feminine ecosystem, which is closely linked to that of the earth. That is why this oil is associated with the physical dimension of the medicine wheel. Our physical body allows us to create life on the back of the great turtle.

This oil is a hymn to our creative power, whatever it may be; projects, ideas, creations, little human beings, etc.

It is entirely made with oil macerates, without essential oils, to be safe for pregnant women.

In their language, they describe the pregnant woman this way: Tho okiendia’tih iwatia’tou’tenh which means: only a woman can carry life and it is immensely great. Our uterine center is magnificent and powerful, and our ancestors celebrated it. The woman is at the heart of our nations.

Use: Connect with the virtues of the plants inside the oil. Set an intention in honor of our body. Apply a thin layer of oil and massage onto the skin. This oil can also be added to the bath to make the skin soft, smooth, and hydrated.

Ingredients: 

• Sacred sunflower oil – softening, it brings softness and suppleness to the skin.
• Jojoba oil – nourishes and firms dry skin. It preserves the skin’s natural hydration.

Oleic extract: 

• Bourbon vanilla – the smooth, enchanting, and sweet scent of Bourbon vanilla gently perfumes the skin. Softening, the macerate makes the skin softer and more elastic.
• Wild rose of Quebec: the flower of love, it helps the skin naturally regain its softness. Its regenerating and antioxidant activity is an asset in fighting the marks of time.
• Chamomile: this magnificent flower is healing, soothing, and calming for skin irritations.
• Carrot – antioxidant, its beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A) content brings a healthy glow and radiance to the skin.
• Balsam fir: its scent is captivating, highly appreciated as a relaxing and warming muscle aid.
